Committed to defending the "Monoï de Tahiti" Designation of Origin

Happy to have contributed to the success of the report broadcast by France Télévision (France 5) on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 :

We have been defending the "Appellation d'Origine" and the interests of Monoï de Tahiti producers for some thirty years.

Some manufacturers and sellers of cosmetic products are taking advantage of the notoriety of this appellation without respecting the rules. More often than not, these are oils entitled "monoï" that try to appropriate a Polynesian origin, even though they do not contain "Monoï de Tahiti".

Our role is to inform these operators of the issues arising from their product, and encouraging them to modify its content or presentation to the public, in the interests of consumers. In some cases, we have to pursue our actions with the relevant authorities, in order to put an end to unfair practices (involvement with the French authorities, implementation of legal actions of a civil or criminal nature...).

Our lawyers, Christophe Adrien and Mélanie Maniez-Gevaert, are particularly involved in these actions to protect the "Appellation d'Origine". Please do not hesitate to contact them with any questions you may have.
